"Let's face it: the vast majority of Americans have no idea what the president is doing on a day-to-day basis, and certainly don't know how he personally is dealing with specific policy matters."
I will be on the radio tomorrow evening at 8:30 pm EST with Sean Yoes, senior reporter at The Afro American, giving my own two cents on President Obama's approval ratings. Yoes is the host of "The WEAA/AFRO First Edition", an hour-long political talk show on Baltimore's NPR affiliate WEAA-FM (88.9 FM), which airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m.
This week we talk about President Obama's CNBC townhall appearance, where CFO Velma Hart said "I'm exhausted of defending you, defending your administration, defending the mantle of change that I voted for."
Progressives lament that people like Glenn Greenwald at Salon and Jane Hamsher at FireDogLake have been voicing the same kind of concerns as Velma Hart expressed for months, but have been attacked by the Democratic faithful for speaking out.
Sean and I discuss the sentiment among Obama supporters, and what it means for the Obama White House.
